Quilts for Comfort January 8, 2002 In response to the suffering around America a group of on-line quilters decided to join together in a national drive to send quilts to the victims' families. We have sent over 120, with many more waiting to be finished and sent. I plan on having a final count and update in a couple of weeks. Yes, final count. While I had originally intended to hold this drive indefinitely, life has stepped in and I can no longer fulfill this commitment. Don't worry folks, it's all good news! But it involves moving three times in the next few months, and I would hate to miss a box of quilts because of it. There are many worthy organizations still taking donations of finished quilts. Click here to see a fairly complete list. Please continue to check back at this site for more updates, which will include more thank you notes from the recipients, and a final tally of quilts sent.
